Honestly I just draw the lines with the hard round in PS. I do thick and thin with the flat oil brush that came with PS. All the lines are just me drawing them there lol its a very simple process actually, no tricks.

Sweetness dude...cant for the life of me get the hang of solid lines digitally without doin it in pencil first then inkin with the pen tool and brushes.....caught tiny bits of a few of your livestreams and was blown away....the accuracy and confidence in which you throw down lines is amazing...and saw your wip shots of the penny cover you did on facebook...the way you approach things is just badass to the extreme.
Much appreciated for sure, really really do I think what helps me get ahold of the art (for lack of a better term) is to see the figures and items as 3D models, not line art. So I tend to see the topography in my mind, not the outlines of thigs. Helps... kinda if yur me lol

Cool dude...never thought of it like that...i usually wait for the colour stage to think 3d and start carving with cells....il apply that method to lines from now on too and see what happens....actually makes perfect sense..if a thing is gonna eventually end up 3d lookin...or you want it to be at least...you should start that way too. Thanks man.
